The Brunswick Division of Police K-9 Unit is comprised of two teams. Sergeant Ceccacci and his K9 partner Koda who began serving together in 2017, and Officer Flagg and his K9 partner Wiley who began serving together in 2022. K9 Koda is a Belgian Malinois from the Netherlands. K9 Wiley is a German Shepherd mix from Slovakia. The K9 teams are dual purpose certified for patrol and drug detection work by the state of Ohio. The K9 teams primary functions include: Drug detection, criminal apprehension, tracking of lost or fleeing individuals, building searches, article searches and handler protection. The K-9 Unit is proud to serve the citizens of Brunswick.
