Free H1N1 flu vaccines now available by appointment

The Medina County Health Department is now taking appointments for people wishing to get a free H1N1 flu vaccination. H1N1 flu vaccine is available for people six months of age or older.

The free H1N1 shots or nasal spray will be given by appointment at the Medina County Health Department at 4800 Ledgewood Drive, Medina. Some evening appointments will be available on Thursdays. To schedule an appointment, call toll-free at 1-888-723-9688 and press 1 to reach our Public Health Nursing Division.

The Medina County Health Department has provided over 20,000 H1N1 vaccinations at H1N1 school-based clinics and mass clinics. There are no more mass clinics scheduled for 2010 at this time.

The Medina County Health Department will post the latest updated information about H1N1 vaccinations on its H1N1 Information Line at 1-888-723-9688 and online at www.medinahealth.org. Services of the Medina County Health Department are partially funded by your local health levy.
